its unfortunate when life gets in the way (happened to me and my entry plans too) but what youre asking for isnt really possible, each entry has to be done within the timeframe of the jam. which would apply for future jams too. you are free to release your game as a demo or whatever unfinished state you wish, but for future jams it has to be a new project. i recommend sharing what you have and complete the entry on your own time. imo posting an incomplete jam entry is a pretty good motivator to keep it on your mind and complete said incomplete project at some point
just because its not a fully completed entry doesnt mean that its not worth sharing. for example if you have lets say the story ready and its assets that are missing, its completely fine to share the full story you have and simply leave the assets out with the plan to update them in later when you have the time. or maybe you have the first half of the story completed, sharing that is fine too. see seams and senses or romance of the moth and the flame that were both released as incomplete games and we still loved them enough to grant them an award
