I can say that the voodoo doll didn't even drop on my end despite checking all the places already, if this works based on a timer or how many times you check and re-check the area, for some people it may take longer than expected or they're left confused not knowing how to progress, like let's say they missed one spot in the classroom (which has no or an insignificant dialogue) that ultimately triggers the new item drop or dialogue to progress the story, that'd be too much imo. If possible you should just make going through all the dialogues for interactable objects results in an instant trigger for the next item to drop or at least a hint, just my suggestion tho.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really sorry you've run into an issue that's preventing you from progressing smoothly through the game.

I'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration for future updates.

As for the current sequence, after checking the doodle on her desk, the voodoo doll is supposed to drop onto the floor when you walk past the desk to the left of hers. The event is working correctly on my end, so I'm wondering if the issue has been resolved for you yet.

Thank you again for your feedback—I really appreciate it!

I still couldn't make it past that point, I just watched another person playing this game and he had the same issue! Had to replay the game from the start just to trigger that item drop, you can check it out at 2:10:14 on his twitch stream https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2815428495

(1 edit)

ohhh thank you I'll check it right now

Could I get his Twitch username? For some reason, I can't access the stream through the link you gave me.

His name is MrClockWorks, he's gonna continue playing your game again tomorrow on twitch, you should hop in if possible to help when he encounters any bug again.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to watch today's stream. I'd really appreciate it if you could check the patch notes in my latest devlog. I included a reference image that should help with the problem.

If that still doesn't solve the issue, I might just remove or rework the event altogether.

Oh, and I think the issue might be related to the player's movement. The voodoo doll event is only triggered after checking the doodle, but it seems the direction the player is moving may be preventing the event from triggering properly.

As for the classroom investigation, only interactions that are important for story progression are counted toward the requirement to leave the classroom. Objects that only contain insignificant dialogue are already excluded from those requirements.

And I'll be addressing this issue in an update very soon :>
