Unfortunately, the keys not working still happens with the latest build. I had it with the stone keys found on level 1. They also have no more description for me, when I left-click on them in the inventory.
I uploaded a fix for this. Unfortunately one or both of the keys in the save game is difficult to repair cleanly, so I just make any uncertain but broken stone key open that door, even if it was a broken key from another level. Games started fresh will not have this problem.
