so i already commented but i wanna give some ideas so heres some

 Future Feature Ideas

 Gameplay Features

- Limited Fuel

Instead of only having a fuel used counter, add an actual limited fuel system like a real rocket.

Ideas:

- The rocket gets lighter as fuel is used, allowing it to accelerate faster.

- Fuel usage depends on thrust amount.

- Low thrust (25/default) uses a normal amount of fuel.

- Higher thrust uses much more fuel.

This would make players balance speed, thrust, and fuel efficiency.

- Drag / Aerodynamics

Make the rocket's shape and fins actually affect flight.

Ideas:

- Fins help stabilize the rocket.

- Rockets can glide/fly for a short time without thrust.

- Wind can affect the rocket.

- Rocket design changes how it flies.

- Engine Heat

Add a heat system for the engine.

Ideas:

- Boosting for too long generates heat.

- Too much heat could damage or destroy the rocket mid-flight.

- Players have to manage boost usage.

- High-Speed Effects

Add effects when rockets reach very high speeds.

Ideas:

- Rockets can gain speed by diving instead of only boosting.

- Extreme speeds create more aerodynamic effects.

- Add things like wind effects, smoke trails, and heating/fire effects similar to atmospheric reentry.

- Rolling

Add rocket roll control.

Example:

- Q = Roll left

- E = Roll right

Similar to how rotation works in games like Kerbal Space Program.

 Harder but Could Be Cool

- Targeting / Navigation System

Allow the player to select a location and have the rocket automatically guide itself.

Possible features:

- Target selection

- Navigation system

- Automatic steering

 Future Platform / Availability Ideas

- macOS Support

  - Seen people asking for it, so it could be a good platform addition.

- Android Support

- iOS Support

  - If possible, releasing on iOS could expand the player base.
  - Also IOS is a little harder to release on while Android can be Google
Playstore and Itch.IO so yea, not sure but i think you also need a Mac to make apps for IOS not sure but i swear i heard it somewhere

- Steam Store/Page

  - Could help with visibility, updates, and building a community.

- Controller Support

  - Seen a few people asking for it.

also sorry if its all split and stuff with tons of spaces between lines i made this in my Notepad and ported it over and it bugged out i tried fixing most it but yea some is still bugged, hope its still readable

Hey man thanks so much for such a detailed feedback. It must have taken you a long time to write.

I really dont know what to do regarding fuel. A lot of people want limited fuel and a lot dont. I was thinking that when i create all those different levels you could play both limeted fuel mode and unlimited. So players could choose the difficulty.

Light aerodynamics are already in the game but not very strong. If you dont boost you can see that turning the rocket in air changes direction a bit, and that effect increases by speed squared. Do you think I should increase it? I dont want to go too realistic because then controlling would be really complicated and hard.

I will definetly add macSupport.

And yes I need to work on the effects a bit more.

I already paid the fee for Steam page so now I just need to set it up. I will ty to make it as fast as possible

And dont worry, it was totally readable. Thank you so much and thanks for all the other suggestions. This will definitely come in very helpful!

(1 edit)

sick dude, yea i hope too see some these features even if they take a while to make and for the Fuel part dont worry even just a little setting to enable/disable would be nice, thanks for replying

edit #1, to answer your question yea i think increasing could be good but to an extent like what you said you dont wanna make controlling too hard so maybe like how Thrust works where you change in settings you can change how much there is or just have it a single number but tuned where its still easy to control but when in air you can kinda fly through the air
