I'm posting this in case it might be helpful to anyone who wants to try running this. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wanted to see that cola-like background, but after trying different things for a while, I still couldn't figure it out—which is a shame... ๐Ÿ˜ž

Hi Michyo

You can start the project just by clicking on the .html file.
On the top right you can select import and then find the .fistf file from your pc.
Files are downloadable here: https://jonathanneels.itch.io/combolade

The app.py is rudimentary now, you can do a network "combat", but not refined.
The other (offline) modes should bring you some joy, I hope.

Good luck, keep me posted!

Kind regards
Fumetsujo

This runs on HTML alone?! I hadn't noticed that. I just confirmed that it's working now. Since Python was the first file I noticed...๐Ÿ˜…
And... it looks like the page you mentioned doesn't offer a downloadable version.

Ever since 2D Fighting Maker — which used to be part of the same series as RPG Maker — stopped being sold, there have only been a few high-level engines for fighting games, such as M.U.G.E.N, so I'm really looking forward to this. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Michyo,

Thank you for trying it out!

In Combolade, you should be able to see all files now (for some reason, the option was unchecked). On the Fighting Engine page, you should be able to download a versionX.html file containing the entire engine. Let me know if you still encounter any issues.

It is not M.U.G.E.N.-quality yet, but I am motivated to make a difference :)!

By the way, all praise goes to your AI engine TinCLE — it is a very impressive engine!

Enjoy your day.

Kind regards,
Fumetsujo

Hi Fumetsujo,

Thank you so much for updating the settings! I successfully downloaded all the sample game files. I'm really looking forward to diving in and playing around with them soon!

I genuinely meant what I said about your engine. Ever since the era of 2D Fighting Maker, the world has been waiting for a truly accessible, next-generation 2D fighting game engine. I sincerely hope and believe your project will grow to surpass M.U.G.E.N! Please keep pushing forward.

Also, thank you so much for the incredibly kind words about TinCLE! Hearing that from a fellow engine developer means the world to me. Just like you, I built TinCLE to eliminate barriers and make development more exciting for everyone. Seeing two different engines cross paths in this AI game jam is truly beautiful.

I will definitely keep an eye on your progress, so please keep me posted!

Have a wonderful day! ๐Ÿ™‚

Kind regards,
Michyo
