Please don't worry about it at all! There was no need for patience because I had an absolutely fantastic time playing it. I just shared that little OS quirk because your text-based visuals—like the beautiful ripples on the water—were so stunning that I’d love to see them exactly as you envisioned someday!

By the way, I saw on your game page that you used Claude Code with roughly 10M tokens?! That is an incredibly mind-blowing scale for a game jam!

While the AI’s capability is impressive, it’s your outstanding vision, production power, and dedication that wrangled that massive amount of data into such a cohesive, high-concept masterpiece. Thank you for pushing the absolute limits and elevating our jam with this beautiful creation. I’ll definitely be coming back to play it again and again! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

You perfectly captured that quiet, magical atmosphere of a late-night workshop.

Making a game with zero background music is incredibly high-risk, and most projects fail to pull it off. But in your game, that silence is a masterpiece of design—the sound effects alone craft a precious, immersive experience. It's truly a rare and beautiful achievement.

I’ve already replayed it so many times, and I know for a fact I’ll keep coming back to this wonderful world. Thank you for creating the best late-night escape! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Reading your dev notes honestly blew my mind! Relying entirely on Fable and AI to generate everything from SVG canvas paths to audio and autoplay debugging is just incredible. It really showcases the jaw-dropping future of game development.

But what amazes me the most is your incredible direction. AI can generate data, but it takes a truly skilled creator to guide, reconcile, and balance it all into such a cohesive, challenging, and deeply enjoyable game. Thank you for pushing the boundaries and bringing this masterpiece to our jam! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Haha, "developer's fuel" — I absolutely love that interpretation! That makes so much sense now, and it’s honestly a brilliant and hilarious way to tie the theme into the game's energy.

The core game logic and loop are incredibly solid, and knowing it was powered by that exact mix of caffeine and fizz makes the intense strategy even more fun to experience. Thank you for embracing the madness and sharing such a well-crafted ride with our community!

Best of luck with your game's journey ahead!

Kind regards,
Michyo

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words! To be honest, I am the one who should be thanking you. I am just a facilitator; it’s the passion and incredible creativity of participants like you that made this Game Jam such an active, enthusiastic, and beautiful success. Having your masterpiece submitted to this jam is an absolute honor.

Your game is on an entirely different level—the animation reminiscent of the MYST era, the gorgeous mandala-like line art, and the dramatic, cinematic music are simply breathtaking. To achieve this level of complete world-building within a jam period is genuinely mind-blowing.

I 100% agree with the spirit of "done is better than perfect." The tiny UI note was just my way of rooting for your game's future growth, because I know I’ll definitely be coming back to play it again and again. I believe pointing out these small details helps games evolve into even greater versions of themselves.

And I have some exciting news to share! Your wonderful feedback helped clear all my doubts: I have officially decided to make this Game Jam a regular event! Starting next month, it will be held every single month on the second weekend.

Knowing that creators like you are out there makes me want to keep providing this playground for creativity. I would be absolutely thrilled to see you in future editions. Keep refining this beautiful world, and thank you again for making this jam so magical!

Kind regards,
Michyo

You are absolutely right, and I completely agree!

What’s brilliant about your design is that by limiting the horizontal movement to a single grid, you’ve focused the entire battlefield onto a vertical, maze-like 3D plane. Even though the core logic is close to 2D, enclosing players in that tight, vertical space creates an incredible, edge-of-your-seat thrill that feels entirely like a 3D virtual sport! It's amazing how restricting one direction actually multiplies the intensity of the gameplay.

As the creator of the TinCLE engine, I am incredibly moved. You’ve used the engine so masterfully to create such a high-speed, intense experience, and you've beautifully proven exactly what TinCLE is capable of. I can't thank you enough for showcasing its potential in such a magnificent way!

Thank you again for this wonderful discussion and for submitting such a powerful masterpiece! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Hi,

Thank you for your quick reply!

I'm really glad to hear that you'll be tweaking the AI behavior in a future update. Developing a fighting game engine is an incredibly challenging journey, but the smooth gameplay you've already achieved here proves how much potential it has.

I’m truly looking forward to seeing how much more "brave" and exciting the AI will become! Wishing you the absolute best with your continued development.

Have a wonderful day!

Kind regards,
Michyo

Wow, I actually beat the creator's score?! I'm so honored and excited! To be honest, that score was the result of me desperately shaking my mouse with all my might, completely losing track of time.

Your pressure system is brilliant. Using the physical liquid level in the PET bottle as a gauge while making players actually shake the mouse to refill it is such a fun, tactile mechanic. It felt so satisfying! And I couldn't have reached that score without the "Coffee Break" feature—collecting those 5 coffee beans for a quick breath of fresh air is such a clever and well-balanced system.

I see other players posting even higher scores, which just proves how incredibly addictive and captivating your game is. It has this magical charm that makes everyone want to push their limits.

Until the day "Infinite Cola" officially hits the market in the real world, I'll keep dreaming about it thanks to your amazing game. Thank you so much for creating and sharing such a blast of an experience! 😋🥤

Kind regards,
Michyo

Thank you so much for your reply!

I have to say, the mechanic of having two different hit timings for the Cola glass and the Coffee cup within a single lane is pure genius. I’ve played many rhythm games, but I’ve never seen an idea this innovative and refreshing!

The feedback of pressing the keys exactly to that beautiful, soothing cafe music felt incredibly satisfying. I got so hooked that I kept playing even after achieving a full combo on all 3 stages! To be honest, the polish and feel of this game are so outstanding that it wouldn't feel out of place at all if it were sold as a commercial title.

Right now there are 3 stages, but I am secretly hoping you might expand it with more tracks after the jam. I will definitely come back to play this masterpiece again and again!

Thank you again for submitting such an incredible, high-quality game to this jam! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Hi D,

Thank you so much for your wonderful message!

First of all, please don't thank me for hosting. A game jam is nothing without the passionate creators who take the leap and submit their work. I am the one who should be deeply grateful to you and everyone else for bringing this jam to life with such amazing energy!

What you mentioned about developing from memory without checking YouTube is incredibly fascinating. Actually, I have the exact same philosophy! I always believe there's no point in making something identical to what already exists. When I create something inspired by an old classic, I purposefully rely only on my own memories.

The fact that your lanes are built backwards or the doors are on the opposite side isn't a defect at all—it's a beautiful feature! Those exact variations are what give a game its unique personality and creative charm. Your vague childhood memories created a brand new, wonderful experience.

Thank you again for joining the jam and sharing such a lovely, nostalgic game. I truly had a blast playing it! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Hi Fumetsujo,

Thank you so much for updating the settings! I successfully downloaded all the sample game files. I'm really looking forward to diving in and playing around with them soon!

I genuinely meant what I said about your engine. Ever since the era of 2D Fighting Maker, the world has been waiting for a truly accessible, next-generation 2D fighting game engine. I sincerely hope and believe your project will grow to surpass M.U.G.E.N! Please keep pushing forward.

Also, thank you so much for the incredibly kind words about TinCLE! Hearing that from a fellow engine developer means the world to me. Just like you, I built TinCLE to eliminate barriers and make development more exciting for everyone. Seeing two different engines cross paths in this AI game jam is truly beautiful.

I will definitely keep an eye on your progress, so please keep me posted!

Have a wonderful day! 🙂

Kind regards,
Michyo

Yes! I just confirmed it. Just by pressing the space bar, the game started up without any issues, and I was able to play it.

It reminds me of when I was a kid, clutching a coin in front of a candy store, standing in front of that one arcade machine everyone would crowd around. It's the kind of game that feels like it's right at home there. I mean that in a good way — it has that kind of charm.

I hope this bring some "FUN" to as many people as possible during the rest of the evaluation period! 🙂

It's a fun game. But... it's hard... I feel like it requires some pretty quick reflexes.

At first, I thought it was a bit disappointing that there was no skybox in the background, but considering how fast you have to chase can and enemy, maybe having a clean, uncluttered background is actually the right choice.

(1 edit)

Actually, after that, I really wanted to play this game, so I accessed the game objects directly and played this game. I had a great time. Honestly, it was fun.

It's possible that you've configured the settings incorrectly—such as having WebGL share input focus with the page when the game is exported—or that the issue might be resolved by adjusting settings on itch.io, such as “Enable scrollbars” or the “Fullscreen” button. Anyway…

"Essential Bug Fixes" and "Adding New Platform Builds" are permitted.
https://itch.io/post/16501718

…I think this falls under the "Essential Bug Fixes" mentioned there, so if possible, fixing it quickly might result in everyone being able to enjoy the game. 🙂

After all, I couldn't figure out exactly how this relates to cola and coffee. But I do like this vibe.
When I open the chart with the M key, the CLOSE button doesn't work, so I have no choice but to reload the page.

It had a really nostalgic vibe, and I really enjoyed it. It truly felt like I was playing in an old-school penny arcade. Considering everything, including the sound effects, this is one of my personal favorites.

Playing after a lot of Baristas appeared was especially satisfying, and I kept playing for quite a while. I had a great time. 🙂

The gameplay is really smooth here. It's great to see the engine's capabilities in action. I really enjoyed it. 🙂

In the AI matches, I noticed that after I got knocked back, if I just stood there doing nothing, the AI would simply keep jumping while maintaining a certain distance—it wouldn't do anything else. It's surprising, since I should have been getting completely crushed. 🤔

It's amazing that all of these characters were created using AI-generated SVG. They have a consistent look and feel, and I think they really make the game stand out.

It has a cozy, laid-back vibe, but it's actually quite challenging. I just love that contrast. I enjoyed it. 🙂🙂

I like the glowing bottles and the soothing sounds. I had fun playing it. 🙂

It was a bit of a hassle having to switch to the mouse when going to the next stage after completing one. I thought it might be more comfortable to play if I could control everything using just the keyboard.

This is a truly wonderful game. The text-based bubbles and ripples on the water's surface are also stunningly beautiful✨

I was completely absorbed in playing it for quite a while. The only downside is that on Japanese computers, the "\" character displays as "¥" (YEN (Japanese currency) symbol). What a cruel fate...😭

This is entirely due to the problematic specifications of Japanese PCs, but if you could force the correct character glyphs — perhaps by locking the font — we might be able to enjoy the beautiful visuals as intended...

It's the kind of game that makes you want to play it over and over again.
The sound effects—without any background music—really craft such a wonderful atmosphere ✨

I made the MIDNIGHT COLA 🥤 It looks so good... I'd love to try it for real♪ 😋

The game itself is well-made.
However, after playing it for a while, I still had no idea how cola and coffee were related.

Maybe it's a problem with my PC... Pressing the space bar just made the browser scroll down the page, and the Enter key didn't respond at all, so I couldn't get past the opening demo.

I'd seen the screenshots and was really curious about the game, so I tried everything I could—hitting all sorts of keys on the keyboard and clicking the mouse frantically—but no matter what I did, I still couldn't get past the opening demo.

What a bummer... 😞

I really love the graphics and music, which perfectly match this game's world✨
This is the kind of game that makes me want to stay up all night playing it. It reminded me of the excitement I felt as a child when I bought a fancy boxed game—a feeling I haven't really experienced with recent games.🙂

Set in such a wonderful world, I thought it was a shame that the bottom part of the "Let's Start Adventure" text in the title screen was cut off.

This runs on HTML alone?! I hadn't noticed that. I just confirmed that it's working now. Since Python was the first file I noticed...😅
And... it looks like the page you mentioned doesn't offer a downloadable version.

Ever since 2D Fighting Maker — which used to be part of the same series as RPG Maker — stopped being sold, there have only been a few high-level engines for fighting games, such as M.U.G.E.N, so I'm really looking forward to this. 🙂

Once your money hits six figures, it gets hidden behind the “Upgrades” button… Hope this gets fixed.
Also, even when I increase the Spawn Frequency, the machines keep running at their initial speed, so I didn't really see the point of increasing their speed.

This is the kind of game where, once you've set up your parts, you can just sit back and watch. I'd like to keep it running in the system tray. Every now and then, I'd open it to check, "How's it going?" If that's possible, it could become a little secret pleasure of mine. 🙂

That's about my limit, I guess... It's so disappointing…💧

For me, a cola addict whose Engel's coefficient is practically the same as my "cola coefficient," cola that refills when you shake it is a TREASURE I'd give anything to have.🍾😍

This rhythm game's layout gives you a really unique and enjoyable feeling✨
It feels great to clear a stage with a full combo. Personally, I like the music in Stage 3. 🎧🎶

I found myself thinking, "If there were a downloadable version, I'd sneak it onto my thumb drive to play when I'm tired from work..." 🙂

How indestructible my ship was (!?) — it didn't even break when it collided with enemy ships. 😆

I really wish the enemies had at least been cola 🥤 and coffee ☕.
Also, I felt that a shmup like this really needed some music and sound effects.

I did pretty enjoy the game itself, though. 🙂

I'm posting this in case it might be helpful to anyone who wants to try running this. 🙂

I wanted to see that cola-like background, but after trying different things for a while, I still couldn't figure it out—which is a shame... 😞

Hi everyone!

The submission clock has officially stopped, and we have 17 incredible games submitted to our very first jam! Thank you so much to all 37 participants for your amazing energy and hard work. You all did a fantastic job! 🌟

The Rating Period has now officially started until July 8th!

As announced in our jam rules, to keep the voting completely fair and clean, we are using the "Submitters Only" system. Here is how it works for everyone:

### 🗳️ For Creators who Submitted a Game (The Voters):

You have the power to vote and rate other entries! To ensure every single game gets a fair number of plays, itch.io uses a Rating Queue system:

  1. Go to the "Submissions" tab.
  2. The system will first give you a random set of games to play and rate.
  3. Once you have rated 5 games from the queue, the system will UNLOCK, and you will be completely free to search, play, and rate any specific game you want!

### 💬 For Participants who missed the deadline & Visitors:

While the built-in star rating system is locked to submitters, the Comment Section on every game page is open to everyone!

As a developer, getting a thoughtful, warm comment on your page is worth 100x more than just a star number. If you are here to browse, please play the games and leave lots of love and feedback in the comments to cheer our creators on!

Rating Deadline: July 8th — It’s a fast 2-day sprint, so let's dive in and see what everyone has brewed up!

Good luck, and happy jamming/playing! 🚀✨

🥤✨

Wow, good catch! Your eye for AI assets is incredible! 🤖✨

Yes, you are exactly right—I used Gemini to generate the main artwork for this jam.

I teach coding and technology too, and out of all the AI tools out there, Gemini has a very unique, warm, and highly customizable creative touch that just perfectly fits the vibe of my projects. I love how reliable it is when it comes to bringing complex tech concepts to life. Your robot looks absolutely amazing and carries that exact same creative energy!

I'm so thrilled to hear that you're having a lot of fun so far. Thank you for noticing the details, and I can't wait to see what kind of game you brew up with your AI companion! Happy jamming! 🥤☕

“Essential Bug Fixes” and “Adding New Platform Builds” are permitted.

Hi! Thank you for the great question, and I'm so glad you're enjoying the jam!

Yes, you are allowed to update your game during the evaluation period, but we ask that you strictly limit updates to "essential bug fixes" and "multi-platform accessibility support" only.

We intentionally keep file uploads unlocked because we want to prioritize playability and fairness. Specifically, we want to support you in two ways during the rating period:

  1. Essential Bug Fixes: If your game has a critical issue — such as not booting up, breaking on web browsers, or crashing halfway through — you are encouraged to fix it so everyone can fully experience your hard work.
  2. Adding New Platform Builds (HTML5, Mac, etc.): If you only managed to submit a Windows version by the deadline, you are absolutely allowed to upload an HTML5 (Web) build or a Mac build during the evaluation period! We highly encourage this because adding a browser-friendly version makes it much easier for other participants to play and rate your game immediately.

However, to ensure a fair and horizontal playing field for all participants, please do not add any new content, extra features, or major gameplay overhauls until the voting period officially ends. The core game content must remain the same across all platforms.

💡 Quick Guidelines for Updates:

Allowed: Fixing critical bugs, repairing broken builds, resolving text typos, and uploading new platform versions (like converting a Windows exe into an HTML5 web build) as long as the game content is identical.

Not Allowed: Adding new levels, implementing new mechanics, or completely replacing assets to make a "different" game.

If you do need to upload a hotfix or a new platform build, it would be awesome if you could leave a quick note in your game’s changelog or description so that voters know what changed.

Thank you so much for keeping our community fun, fair, and supportive. We can't wait to play your game! 🚀

Yes, absolutely! You are more than welcome to cross-submit your game to both jams!

As long as your game meets our community's core criteria — meaning it is created entirely during this jam period, is completely free to play, and aligns with the submission rules — we would love to see your unique creation in our jam! Incorporating multiple themes from different jams into one cohesive project sounds like an awesome challenge for your AI prompting pipeline.

Just one small reminder: While we have no problem with cross-submissions on our end, please make sure to check the rules of the other game jam as well, as some jams strictly prohibit submitting to multiple events.

We can't wait to see how you brew your game. Best of luck with both jams, and happy prompting! 🚀 😆

Hey Jammers! The wait is finally over. The countdown has hit zero, and **the jam is officially LIVE!**

For those who might have lost track of time—wake up! Your ultimate AI-assisted game dev adventure starts right now.

Here are your creative coordinates for this jam:

  • 🥤 **Theme 1 (Mandatory): COLA**
  • **Theme 2 (Optional): COFFEE**

The seals are broken, and both themes are completely open to your wildest interpretations. Whether you decide to focus heavily on a fizzy COLA universe, pivot last-minute into a caffeine-fueled COFFEE rush, or brilliantly blend BOTH into a chaotic, carbonated masterpiece—the stage is completely yours.

⚡ Ready to build?

If you're still wondering, "How do I go about making a game with AI?"...

Don't forget that **TinCLE** has been upgraded just minutes before the launch! It now fully supports **HTML5 web builds**, meaning your target players can play your creations directly in their browsers with a single click.

Drop your `SKILL.md` into Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude, tell your AI companion what kind of fizzy/caffeinated world you want to build, and let the code fly.

Of course, this isn't a problem for anyone who already knows how to do it. Just keep doing what you’re used to. I just want those who haven’t figured it out yet to enjoy it, too.

No matter your skill level, this is all about pushing boundaries, experimenting with prompt engineering, and having a blast.

The clock is ticking. Grab your favorite drink, fire up your AI, and let's make some magic.

Happy Jamming, everyone! Let the coding begin! 🔥
