I think visually and thematically, this game is wonderful, and shows a lot of potential when time allows. The watercolour maps, especially the first, are just so nice to look at. I loved the slowly waving trees and all the little details. The movement needs some refinement, but I do think it makes good sense fundamentally. I was getting stuck on terrain while running at times, but the jumping felt right. I’ll look forward to seeing what comes out of this project after the jam when there’s more time to work on things!

I really thank you for the feedback. The Visuals are indeet something, that seems to be one of the things i can do nicely so it is nice to read the compliment for that :)

The colliders will be my grave one day, it was the first time i was trying to do a platformer/Metroidvania inspired Game. I was planning to work on this further after the Jam-step by step but was thinking that i will make only a polished prologue out of this and switching to Twine for the Story and the important visuals, because the watercolor/aquarell is taking a lot of time and memoryspace. It is a difficult decision.

It’s definitely very hard to scope a game of this type in just a week of work, that’s for sure!
