Hello! I've fully played trough your game and decided to write a lengthy review, hope you don't mind :)
Let's start of from the things I liked:
1. The roguelike upgrade mechanics were very well tuned and fun.
2. The catching fish minigame is quite addicting
3. Nice visuals and relaxing audio
4. The difficulty is also well balanced, I had to focus without wanting to quit too much. I beat the game in ~5 attempts, most ended by day 5.
Some problems I encountered:
1. The casting mechanic was by far the most annoying thing in the game. I still haven't figured out what I need to do to cast consistently :/ . Releasing on the lowest, highest or mid points seem to not work, but the 75% mark seems to be more reliable. And even still, it was quite random and annoying.
2. The waiting animations get annoying pretty fast too, specifically waiting for a fish to catch and the fish being thrown into the pot (I lost once because the day finished before the animation).
3. This one is quite small, but the walking speed upgrades are mostly useless. It takes less than a second to from the pot to shore (the one at the bottom is the closest) with no upgrades witch is a small time anyway. Walking became just another annoying animation and I didn't use a single speed upgrade.
Overall I found your game quite fun! I used the word "annoying" quite a lot, because I found lot's of things that seemed just an unintentional distraction from the (what I assume) is the main mechanic, the "spinning radar catcher thing :)". Still one of the best games I played in this jam, well done!
I also noticed our upgrade selection menus are very similar, maybe you'd like to check it out ;) https://blujuice.itch.io/tour-billion
