Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the game. While I did spend a lot of time on the visuals, I usually start with programming and testing the main mechanic. A somewhat alright tutorial is available in written form on the game page. Sorry for the poor in-game on boarding. As far as I’m aware there are no bugs with the work crush fight. The debuffs come from the title-ability system, which you can experiment with in the prepare menu.
The challenge is to optimize your spinner. The intended strategy is to create a spinner that won’t lose to the opponent you face off against (hence why you get to see their spinner). Choosing not to optimize your spinner is handicapping yourself. Practice opponents from day 1-3 generate simple spinner and title combinations to help the player ease into the gameplay and prepare for the work crush fight as they unlock new options. This is why they usually have large/easy to identify sections and rarely use abilities. I don’t believe you are missing out on anything.
