Friend Rabbit is walking across a meadow. He's got just another kilometer to go. And there's a frog's house there. Friends live there. Mole. Hare. Rabbit is resting today. He has the day off. He arrived by train. And now he's going to see his friends. To drink tea. To talk. To play computer games.
It's a hot summer day all around. A calm summer day. Full of heat. Grass grows everywhere. And the rabbit is walking right through it. There are hills here. First you go up. And then down. It's funny. It's much more interesting and varied that way.
There are a couple more hills like that ahead. And there should be houses there. The rabbit's house is on the other side of the station. He also has to walk a kilometer. Across a flat field. And in the middle between them is a station. A railroad.
The rabbit walks and thinks about the sun. And the sky. Summer is so nice. Everything is calm. And he just needs to keep going. It will be here soon. All the animals are busy with their own things. And they might forget that a rabbit has come to visit them on the weekend. What a surprise! The mole will probably jump up.
Then the rabbit will go home. Drink tea. Work on his garden. And then lie down to sleep. The rabbit will be tired. That's how the rabbit's day off will pass. The happiest day is a day off. Then the rabbit will go to town again on errands.
And now he's walking straight through the grass. He's already seen his friend, the grasshopper. He went straight to his house. The grasshopper is a musician. He has no time. He'll rest at home. And then practice. The rabbit met a snail. The snail goes to his house too. There was a beetle. The beetle also went home. And the rabbit goes to his friends.
While the rabbit is walking, he admires the field. The rabbit loves to walk here. Hills and a field. The most wonderful place. There's nothing else here. If you go by train, there's forest on all sides. And when you arrive, there's nothing but field and hills. On one side of the station is a field. On the other, hills. How cleverly everything is constructed.
None of the animals have ever seen the end of these hills or the end of the field. Perhaps only the musician grasshopper. But he travels by train. The astronomer crow constantly looks at the sky. And flies. But he doesn't look for the edge of the field. He spends most of his time looking at the sky. And the rabbit goes to his friends. They are always happy to see him. Even if they forgot that today is the rabbit's day off.
