Art style is very charming, and I love the use billboard sprites lol; everything seems to mesh together very nicely.
I think the theme is represented here by the fact that you circle strafe around the enemy(?), although that is somewhat loosely connected.
Great game overall! Would love to see it expanded upon if you have plans for that.
