You are right about when there is only one way to advance it should be automated!

for the sake of the argument, I’ll try to twist it in a positive way :

  • Making the user press confirm each time does sort of feel like moving a pawn on a actual board game.

  • Before a user meet a cross-road that would lead to two of an opponent panels, the player might want to look at the a the board to check which would have the cheapest fee before it’s too late, if the move be automated the player have to wait till arriving at the cross-road and a person would might forget checking the board due to direction menu showing up and taking priority in one mind…idk explaining like that makes me feel its may a nice sort of an ADHD failsafe when losing focus…
