Felt like the game was a bit boring, and I felt that the shop items dictated more or less wether I would beat the 6th round, as I was just not given enough time for the required laundry.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you didn't vibe with the game as much as everyone else has. Perhaps you got a particularly bad roll with the shops as most of my play-testers were able to make it past round 6 after a couple of tries. You can also pause the game if you haven't taken advantage of that, which should give you enough time to deal with the laundry if your machines are good enough.
