Thanks for playing! :) Yeah I didn't get round to giving a pop-up to say when a new area was unlocked, its just a couple of the clickables that give mystery related hints then you go back to the interrogation area to ask a couple of extra questions and go to the other area. But I did add a lot of investigations! So I can imagine its easy to get lost without some highlights :)
