It's mostly particle based. It's the more flexible version, so I recommend that one if you're using Unity.

Is there any ways to fit particles to pixel style game? It's too hard...

If you have access to an art software, you can try pixelating the textures using a "mosaic" filter. Different software might call it different things, but if you sear for "mosaic" and your  software it should pop up if available.
