I'm a bit confused what I'm supposed to? I keep spinning the valve but nothing happens

I tried but I'm not getting anything spinning either way
if you spin clockwise, orange rocks should be popping out from where the auger is drilling. but what to do with them from there is beyond me. they don't seem to go into the bin on the right
