We completely agree with you about including references. As good journalism should, we originally wanted to cite the sources behind every headline. During the game jam, though, we decided to focus our limited time on making the contrast between the false (or heavily biased) headlines and the true headlines as clear as possible.
Adding proper references for both the misleading headlines and the factual ones is definitely something we plan to do after the game jam. Thanks again for pointing it out and for taking the time to leave such a constructive comment!
