I think you overdid it with the effects :D, at wave 3 or so, i am a bit lost as to what is actually going on.

You're absolutely right—in Level 3 things can get pretty chaotic. I probably went a bit overboard with the visual effects while trying to make the combat feel intense.
I'll definitely look into toning down some of the effects and improving visual clarity so it's easier to keep track of what's happening.
