Animation speed is annoying.

It's on my todo list for next release. It depends on play style, so I will add it to settings or add skip animation action to controls.

I'd suggest keep the game on while animation plays. Like in OG tetris.
Also what you described in other comment, "number do go up and there are multipliers" it's not definition of an idle game. More like incremental, but core mechanic is still tetris.
Idle game should play itself while you can sit back and watch.

You're right. I used to treat "idle" and "incremental" games as a single genre. Looking at it from a different perspective, it's definitely closer to an "incremental" game. What about mechanics, I think genre and machanics are two diferent things.
