Just a quick bug report, I just installed the latest v15 for windows and it immediately crashes on death if you didn't make a profile at startup. I tired it several times and until I actually made a profile name it didn't stop.
It's win 10 , Threadripper 3970x with 64 GB ram and a GTX 3090. I had the original version from a while back installed. I overwrote it that installation (or in this case unzipped to the same directory), and it started up fine and it asked to make a profile, but I declined just to try the game out quickly, then I played the first level and died rather quickly but it crashed. So I repeated it 2 more times and thought I might as well make a profile to see if it helped, and it didn't crash anymore. Though in hindsight, the old save file was there in the save directory so that could have been the cause of the crash. I just checked the save location and there are 2 files there now that were updated today, and on my backup from yesterday, there was just one file there from 2018.
Ah, i see. Yes, it would have been the old save file that was causing the issue..
To make sure you don't have any issues with the new file (SosSettings.sav), check if the password entry in the savefile says something like dev_numbers_hex, rather than anything else. it's normally on the second line of the file. If you want to reset the account to default/no account, you can change the user and password lines to read
username char _nouser
password char _nopass

I'm afraid this bug is still present, at least in the latest Linux build (v18, from July 13).
It happens on a fresh install, without any older savegames present. The game crashes upon death, when pausing and quitting to the map, and when choosing an exit after beating a level.
Also, don't know if releated or not, no score is computed when playing (see screenshot, taken after having shot several enemies).
