Ohh, interesting take! I haven't actually read Blood Meridian, but I know a little about it.

Marcy only has a few very loose inspirations, such as the Leper in Darkest Dungeon and Slade from Teen Titans. I basically wanted to avoid making an orcish stereotype, so I went with a kind of "samurai meets bandit" blend of traits; composed, noble, and even sympathetic at times, but she's just as much vicious, pragmatic, and vindictive.

I really appreciate samurai meets cowboy aesthetics as a clint eastwood fanatic and a bit of a Kurosawa appreciator. Just 2 days ago I did the final rush for platinum in ds3 and thank God its done. for a visual (If you play) it was eastern leggings jailor gloves xanthous chestpiece and the black hat with a washing pole. very east meets west. about darkest dungeon, I dont play but kindness cupcake has been working on a mod thats making it REALLY tempting to play, if you know what I mean.

marcy does have that composed image, in my opinion she is like the type of military soldier that does would bathe herself in the blood of her enemies, but care as much for her allies and subjects, it fits  cus how she does question belith(i forgot her name as it been awhile i played the game, i may got that wrong) sight on her subjects, as to her they nothing more than just servants regardless of their roles in her army
