I was thinking that a wasp motif cold really fit Gremory if it’s used right. If mammals are a consideration for vepar, narwhals might be an interesting counterpart to the unicorn. Sticking with the aquatic theme, it for a poison heavy vepar route, have you considered her sitting on a large anemone for when movement becomes… challenging. With a few prominent tendrils in the design making her method of attack visually clear?

im picturing vepar in one of those sorta one piece dresses but the entire side from the dress from thigh to shoulder is thin bands that show the skin underneath you know what I'm saying? with like a boob window in the front that's hour glass shaped so her red skin is like the back marking. anyways thats just the first thing that came to mind when you said black widow its prolly shit on 30 seconds of thought.
what always cheers me up after a hard day is some guava juice and a nice bowl of clam chowder. If I can find some slippers it’s fun to put them on and pretend to be an old English professor or something with the whole setup, I’m not a smoker but if I did a wooden pipe would really through it together. I can’t attest that things just “get better” but I can tell you that they get less lonely. Old friends have this funny tendency to pop back up in times like these. Cheers
Might as well just get it out there, I'm rarely a "human being" in my dreams, or at least I'm on a burst streak lately and it just averages out to a 50/50, anyways. I was davy jones in mine last night and I was walking through solid objects. Not the point, but I'm almost always butchering and eating goblins or some other not quite human creatures but when I'm about to take a bite the scene changes or it goes black until its just a pile of bones. Maybe I've been really insistent on feasting on gobbogool as a feature because I need some catharsis for not being able to ever properly eat those goblins. I don't know why I'm admitting any of this it's not like I can tell my friends or family. thanks for listening and cheers to gobbogool.
the thing about taking hits that you can barely survive is that if you heal you are essentially farming TP with minimal to no significant HP loss over the time frame while having biblical TP reserves that you can use to trash the encounter. It's a very specific relationship between one character and one merc but it will still be something I keep my eye on for the next build. speaking of, would that be in April?
I feel like that could create a balance issue with the bandit, her magic is so cheap that spamming acumen and healing magic cyclically could reduce the actual strategic aspect of the fights. Probably not a big deal though, the bigger question is how the hell SP transfer between encounters is supposed to work. its utterly beyond me.
the issue with the current build is that the month 7 sprites just flat out don't load. If you've gotten that far, the main menu will just be blank purple where the other months show as normal. the only time you see month 7 slick in the build is believe it or not the guest artist's work when she drinks the milk that you can revisit from the menu. I can't tell you how helpful that is but it'll be out when its out no biggie.
bad time to keep throwing spitballs at you but I had this idea that a certain level in each campaign would have a hidden/out of the way side path that would blackscreen you to the shack of one of the other 2 NPCs that you didnt make a deal with per not playing that character. You'd find em with the door blown in and they'd be on deaths door and you could either sacrifice (or eat) them for a small permanent stat boost, or just listen to their last words in piece. Sumn like "I'll be damned, you do answer prayers, just your luck that someone beat you to the punch... blehhhh..."
Personally I'll be posted up like this turning Hek into goblingooly for +2 health on my 97 hp 3 ton shithouse

So I just gotta know, between when you announced that work would resume and the update, how much of the content intended for the update was made before the hiatus and how much after. Because unless the upfront coding of things like combat, terrain assets, etc, represented a disproportionate amount of dev time to where level and sprite design would be a much smoother slope. a pace of an entire section per month is kind of ridiculous for one guy with a day job so I was wondering how "ground up" this update was and if it represented an update schedule. It's no skin off my back when I mean it'll be out when it's out but I like pestering devs on the backend stuff I'm like the orc who was arguing with Saruman about production output.
Decided to look back at the ref sheet for beel and I didnt notice that it said "preemtively enchanted to grow alongside the ballooning queen" does that mean that she had a similar build to our girls and that they will generally be proportionally similar to her? or is it a case by case body type thing?
but more seriously, the game has an established theme of the established opting for safe, low effort returns (beleth to the mortal world/the human kingdoms to althare) losing out against desperate stragglers who have no choice but to put everything on green (roulette odds arent exactly 50/50). So I think it would be an interesting metaphor if beleth expects to absolutely tower over you and make you feel even more insignificant and stupid for running with her sad little wine gut and slightly tighter bra having her jaw hit the floor for a split second when she sees you wheel your lard ass in.
oh right I forgot, so did you say that beleths is operating out of beel's throne room and territory after the conquest or is the imp delivering the news of her victory to beleth who hasnt left her tower once? actually stupid question how would beleth just be hearing about her victory from her enemies' throne room. Anyways, my question then is; do you fight beleth at the tower from the prologue or has she fully moved into beel's castle and we should expect a dungeon level about the size of any of the levels from this demo or are we essentially rocking up to hell and storming her throne room right then and there immediately from the front gate? as cool as it would be to finish the game in the same room as it began, I kinda hope we get the buildup of an entire prince of Hells' dominion before the boss fight. Might be nice to see beleth in a bigger chair too bc she already isnt a thin lady and wine is NOT diet friendly. I think we'd all like to see beleth enjoy the priveledges of station a bit ;)
true, the island is a known hotbed for all sorts of monsters and dark worship, best not to get stuck in long insurgecy campaigns or give these groups access to the mainland by way of stow awaying. On another note, I was file diving again to see what I could find and all the bath pngs are labled base and it made me realize WAY too late that the girls are still gonna need to heal even when bathing on their own gets a little... inconvenient. Kudos to the lucky imp that gets to scrub chubbed up gremory.
I have to ask what feels like kinda an obvious question now that I think about it. Is the goal to conquer ALL of althare in what I can only assume is 7 zones (seven sins seven stages each) then fight beleth right after? If I'm getting the lore right, the island is a pretty small province of a larger kingdom, and I guess it just feels kind of weird to think about one single demon taking over a single unimpressive landmass then dethroning a ruler of hell. Since at least the academy and goblin bane seem to have religious motivations, it seems a little foreshadowed that you would get your final stage by sacking their main center of worship and corrupting it.
I still watch that video every once and a while its just sooo funny. But obviously proportions are gonna change over the course of the game, do you have the next outfits sort of figured out or is it pretty much torn rags/upsized base gear. anything is fine but wardrobes that match the summoner would be pretty nice. like if gremory was trying to make spare academy robes last as long as possible (not very well) or marchosias was stuck with increasingly mortifying goblin tatters, it definitely beats designing unique finery for each character for each route. Lastly, I remember I asked you before sweet dreams came out if one of the possible endings for beleth is to make her obscenely fat and use her as a throne under your new reign. After sweet dreams I feel like thats definitely more likely to be implemented but I wont ask you to say anything for sure.
on the topic of Hek, I was wondering if the green skin and red hair had any connection to beelzebub. Given how goblins are typically known to have absolutely horrendous feeding habits with fat goblins like grom the paunch being one of the signature jokes of the species in general, I didnt know if that was an intentional design overlap. But when I saw goblin bane for the first time I was like IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER. that show is soo fucking good.

this stupid ass real is the only thing I can think of when that goblin talks.
