Controls! That's the biggest opportunity here imo.
I developed carpal tunnel trying to escape these guys my musty crusty dusty ergonomic mouse could barely scroll quick enough to outpace enemies.

Like some others I agree with the standard add sound effects, music, more animations.
Some obstacles would be cool. I would like to be able to shoot while moving unless that's an intended game design. And I found myself always moving backwards so I could shoot.
If you're supposed to feel like you can't outrun the swarm of enemies forever then a hazard that gives you a speed boost away could be cool.
