What a cool little game. Nice simple game play, two tweaks i would add would be some sort of shadow so you can see at what depth(z) you are to pick up the items had a lot of trial and error on some of them, and some screen shake. Well done.
100% agree, I was going to attempt shadow but it was just too little time to get in it. If I update the game that's the first thing going in. Screen shake, fixing the particles and effects would be next
