This is such a fun concept, I loved all the snail's different names and expressions! I especially loved that all the changes mattered instead of being purely cosmetic, and there are multiple viable builds. My only problems were that I couldn't really figure out how much money I was getting for winning vs losing, and the lack of audio. Also, it seems like the amount of money won doesn't scale with the difficulty, was that intentional?

Thank you ! It means a lot, we put a lot of effort in crafting everything ourselves. And you're right, not a single item is purely Cosmetic in they game, they all have gameplay influences, even though some are small, even the Faces too !
We unfortunately did get starved on time before being able to do any Sound Design, but we prioritized having a functionnal game loop, which we finished just in time.
As for the money scaling, there is a formula put in place, which is based on if you win/lose and the level of the race (for exemple a win is: add_currency(25 + current_race_level * 3)), we didn't have time to animate the earning though, which would probably have helped communicate that better
