I enjoyed the Steam Next Fest demo! However, the game is overall a bit too similar to Black Souls 1 (the opening sequence / tutorial is a carbon copy of that games opening!) . I think this game has great potential, but you should really try to set it apart from Black Souls. Good luck with the development tho!!!
That's a very valid criticism. The introduction is very similar, and they share the same mechanics, not only because Black Souls was used as inspiration but both games take heavy inspiration from the souls games in mechanics. From what I'm developing, there are more things later in the game that will set it apart from Black Souls but I do understand if that's not enough for some players, I'll take your feedback into consideration and try to make the distinctions more obvious in the full game.
