Refreshing the page does not disable the sound. It may be the sound of the moving conveyor belt but it is always present, not just when the belt is moving. It is just there as soon as the game starts.
Strange, I cannot reproduce this. Are you using chrome? Does it stop if you mute the game from inside the game? (Top right)
I am using the Zen browser which is essentially Firefox. The noise mutes with the audio button of the game.
