We position the AI behind cover. When they see the player, they react by hiding and shooting, but then they move randomly near the player and attempt to shoot again. I am fully aware of the issue with shooting through walls. I was debating making two line traces—one from the camera and one from the barrel of the gun—to check if the gun trace hits the wall. The line trace from the camera ensures accuracy, but the line trace from the gun will prevent the player from cheesing the game, just as you mentioned.

🥲 Sadly, I didn’t get around to fixing that issue. I have many game jams under my belt now, so I can see things from the player’s perspective.

I didn’t want to see the text twice while playing my own game, so I figured the player would feel the same way. 😁
