After dying the player starts at negative health and gets one-hit which forced me to buy potions or restart. Also the day/night cycle is a cool interpretation of the theme but the pauses interrupted the flow of the game. The combat was fun and challenging. I was not able to get past the purple scythe enemies though even after buying upgrades and potions (might just be a skill issue). Nice Job!

Thank you for playing, and the accurate review.
The pauses spoil it for me too. It was meant as homage to CV2, but will be toned down post-jam.
Most definitely not a skill issue! Scythe-guy was meant to be the final boss, but hit and run was working too well so I put him over the stairs. I should have thought further ahead.
