yes, even if the datable guys are all in the chubby area, it would be interesting to have a few skinny, muscular, normal etc in the group... other type of diversity would also be interesting like trans guys, people with disabilities, differente age groups , etc... But, ask this would also mean you to have a 'ton' of work including so many people in the story lol... So many people and so many possibilites.
It would be funny to see some personalities clashes within the team as well some unexpected friendship appearing... also some people may develop 'alliances and rivalries' just for the drama... but again that would mean a LOT of work to be done... I won't blame you if you decide to keep things simple.
Yeah! that's definitely the intents. As for trans characters; there's been talks about that. I've been wanting to and figuring out what way I want to approach it. As a cis male myself, I can't necessarily inform the characters interactions from the heart like I can with the others; I want to avoid the possibilities of causing offense from a misrepresentation, as it's a fine line between giving things that create a solidly fleshed character, to instead only fetishization and that'll be a big detractor.
However, this is for a character in particular that's already in the game that is in the party of those in the main bubble of characters.
This would be different though for pure club workers who don't necessarily have a whole story like that to tell like the VN characters. They would just be there happily; and what you see is what you get! :3c
The game itself, is going to be pretty massive. It's got a game hidden within the game- so extra work is already on the cards. I do plan to have more variety; but most of that variety would come down more to the 'freeplay mode'. For workers it'd be a case of sprites, animation sets, code injection etc, 3/4 mini dates. as opposed to main cast which is like
full lore; interpersonal interactions; dynamic mapping; several dates with MC; club sprites, animations, voice acting, etc.
