This was a really interesting read. While also not an "action" game in the traditional sense, the first thing that came into my mind as an "Environmental Action" driven game was the Worms series, honestly. If you're not good at figuring out how to navigate the terrain and get the stuff you want, then you're an even bigger obstacle to yourself than the guys with bazookas trying to kill you. Does that qualify, I wonder? Lots to think about, good stuff.

thanks! For me I think environmental action would have to be some level of real-time, although yeah I think the strategy/position element of Worms is something that could transfer into an interesting environmental action game for me.
