This was a really interesting read. While also not an "action" game in the traditional sense, the first thing that came into my mind as an "Environmental Action" driven game was the Worms series, honestly. If you're not good at figuring out how to navigate the terrain and get the stuff you want, then you're an even bigger obstacle to yourself than the guys with bazookas trying to kill you. Does that qualify, I wonder? Lots to think about, good stuff.
I quite like this. I'm remembering back to around 2008 or so, it seems like arcade-style stuff was omnipresent in the indie scene. Even a lot of the very experimental and boundary pushing stuff being done was still rooted in arcade game ideas, and it worked great. I would very much like to see more people exploring the possibilities of this realm once again.
sorry for the late reply- here's a link to the server! should last about a week https://discord.gg/8tyQqhNt
We don't put invites up that often, but I should! I'll make an invite link on my tumblr tomorrow and drop a link here if folks want it, also in the description so as to avoid confusion. Basically the intro post is just a "hey here's me and my age, i'm over 18, let me in" so we know who we're letting in. We're not trying to vet people, just don't want underage users or trolls or whatever other weird mfers wander in from the net at large. You know how it goes.
