So, first of all, I was a little  bummed out that I didn't place at least top 5 in the hard mode jam.

But decided to look back at some of my older speed game entries and dig up some old CDN forum emails and Internet Archive my way through some of the old CDN forums to try to encourage myself.

I mean, it really hit me in the feels!

I remember, back in the day, (when I didn't place top 3  back in the Forum days... )  I always told myself, that a prize is nice, but you are using your skills & talents for the Lord and that is a reward in itself. Looking back, I wasn't here when Speed game started, but ever since I found out about it, about a week from when the entries were due in 2011, I have done my best to enter each speed game from that point and  15 years later, I'm still at it! It kinda made me tear up a bit!   15 out of 20 speed games is likely some kind of CGDC record or something like that...

So now, I have to do something BIG for the 20th anniversary! From the 3 verses presented, I wanted to see if there was a way I could combine them. But then I was thinking, maybe I could make 2 entries like I did  back in 2014? I vaguely remember overhearing that maybe I should remake an older entry I made?   I started playing around with Farclip.ai, and really wish I had taken the time out to use it for my Hard Mode entry. Still brainstorming, but will start  soon!

God Bless!

I think it would be great if veterans of the Speedgame Challenges revisit one of their older games and try to reimagine it or rework it with the new verses. Extra kudos if you keep an old verse and also add one of the current verses!

let us know how we can help!

Please don't be discouraged! I love seeing all the games that compete and you always deliver a good game.  Winning is fun, but I feel just challenging yourself and making a good "product" is a reward all in its own.  You are going to do a great job, I know it. ^^

Hey Elijah, I know what it feels like! I've participated in so many of the Speedgames and so many times I didn't even submit on time! So my game just was left super unfinished, and not fleshed out enough. And the ones I did submit, only a small percentage could even be called a complete jam game.

But your thinking about learning skills and new things, and using those skills for the Lord is right on point. Always something important to remember! The rest is just craftwork, trying one's hardest, and keeping at it!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement! They mean a lot! So I couldn't think of anything for the past 2 weeks. But decided to do something with Isaiah 9:2. I am doing my own reinterpretation of Captain Bible & the dome of darkness, but it's Christian Commander & the Shadow Sphere! Haven't got much aside from the name currently but plan to start working on it today!
