That was lovely! The voice acting made the characters so much sweeter, and both of them did a phenomenal job. 🥰 I tend to speed through fully voiced stories, but I liked that lots of the inner monologue/narrator was quiet. When the voices popped in, I wanted to stop and listen, like they were a special treat. A very sweet story; I love a warm fuzzy romantic ending.

I think my one critique would be to cut down 50% of the screen shakes, like mostly saving them for stuff like Christina's health episodes. I'm biased 'cause this was my approach so take with a grain of salt, but replacing them with sprite-specific transformations would work for smaller dramatic effects so that the whole scene doesn't shake as much.

Hey, thanks for reading through it. Yeah, I have a bad habit of including too many screen shakes in my visual novels just in general. It ends up happening because I feel like a scene is too static, and so I add in the screen shakes to make it more punchy and dramatic. 😅

Otherwise, everything else ended up surprisingly well, and everyone involved enjoyed the process. This took a little over $600 to make with buying assets and hiring freelancers for the art and voice acting. Thus, if I were to hire artists or voice actors again, I would do everything I can to finish a visual novel first and then hire people to polish the experience.

As for other projects, I have other short stories and flash fictions already written out. Yet, the visual novel development side of things have been slow on my end. I’m most likely burnt out from the process in general, having done this for 2 years now, but I’ll see if I can squeeze out the other stories in visual novel format as well. Two of them I may hire freelancers for, as future ones will be on the darker side of things. So, that’s where I’m at with things.

Thanks again for reading through this VN and giving your feedback! Much appreciated! 🤩
