Heya! I'm not the OP but I also had the same issue as them. I played on PC with full screen and It first appeared when I discovered the "Leather Works Sign" around the start of the game and continued to stay on my screen. Although the (N hi) seem to disappear during cutscenes.
so I fiddled with the settings and apparently its because I changed the text from default to large. When I switched it back, it was then fixed :)
