I was quite confused reading this. This is a good idea, to want more out of games and reject stagnation and predeterminism. I think this is inconclusive, which is the point. This is almost a philosophical approach, to draw conclusions. Player expression and challenge is very vital for games.

"If games were about freedom, they would come with questions instead of instructions." This is my favourite part

Good to ask many questions and challenges assumptions, but this seemed a bit meandering in different directions.

Hey, thanks for reading it all the same! It doesn't surprise me too much that it's confusing... I wasn't quite aiming for philosophy, but whatever it is is certainly more raw than cooked. I was just getting feelings stirred up by reading others' manifestos, and realized I had some time to try putting those feelings out there in a form of my own before my office job started for the day. That was satisfying to do, though yeah, whether it produces any feeling for others remains to be seen.

Part of me is tempted to go back and polish, but I may just leave it as is as an encouragement for others to make even meandering things.

I like this work, thank you for giving me the opportunity to see your thoughts and draw my own conclusions. This kind of stuff helps people connect with media and each other. I hope you'll make more stuff in the future.

It's very nice that you managed to make this before job! Nice first post on Itch.io! I hope to put my own feelings and thoughts out there too, maybe I care about polish too much.
