That was pretty cool! I managed to beat the game solely because of the thunder hammer (and a bit of corruption null) I love the art here and some of the card ideas are great. My only gripe is that the exploits almost always dont work. At least the pre-boss area where you are selecting cards. Other than that, It's pretty great and I really like what you did, especially with the items being added to a loot pool instead of just an inventory.

Thanks for playing! I will have a look into why the exploits just don't work in your case. Maybe it's an issue in my code or somewhere along the line, the functionality got severed. Another main issue is that the game is really unbalanced (really hard in the beginning but easy with just a bit of luck) so I'll most likely try and update that too. I would like to ask how the card aren't working in the pre-boss area in your case. Again thanks for playing and your helpful comments!

I'm not sure really what they are supposed to do, but all of the cards that subract a percentage dont change the money spent at all

Alright! Thanks for responding back! I'll look into it...

Pretty fun little deck builder youve got here! ALthough when i got to the second boss even though it worked before and i clearly had the $ it wouldnt let me add any more cards with the play button, perhaps simplifying it to not have to rebuilding the deck each time would be good. Anyways nice work! Keep at it!

First off, thanks for playing! As for the issue you have, it could be a bug in my code (there is indeed a lot of that i need to fix) or it could be just the simple fact that you tried to select more than 3 cards. If its the first case, then I'll probably have to look through the mess of code for it, and if its the second case, I definitely have to make the tutorial more understandable and less text. Also, simplifying the deck rebuilding is a good idea I'll look carefully into! Again, thanks for the valid criticism!

The music is absolutely amazing! I also love the vibe of this game! Like if balatro was made in the undertale universe. haha. I wish I could just click through the text instead of using space mostly just for consistent input purposes with that. haha.

I love the concept and story too! Funny enough, I made a similar game a while ago but in the opposite way called TITLE, where you help an in-game NPC put back together a world the previous player broke. haha. Great minds! I love it!

I encountered some weirdness with the "MISS" sound effect where it just kind of clipped all of the audio? not sure if maybe the sound file is corrupted / wrong format maybe? Just something I noticed. haha.

I love the "Quit" button on the main screen. This is a great detail as soooooo many HTML5 games keep the "quit" button on their screen which just causes the game to crash on web. lol.

Overall was super fun and a great idea! I think the items could cost a bit less and/or do a bit more damage as its really diffcult to beat the bosses (I didn't get very far on my first run at all. haha), but other than that its a really amazing, quirky entry! It has a ton of personality and is well made! Great work! :D

Thank you so much for playing! Yes this game is sort of Balatro like (and actually pretty similar to yours now that I realize). As for the audio glitches, yeh, I never fully understood why it sounded like that (probably the game running the same audio file multiple times in a second). The other major issue that you pointed out which was play testing was also a big problem on my part, as I could have gotten a lot more of that, especially in a game where balancing is crucial for gameplay. Thank you for all the kind words, I truly appreciate them!
