Thanks for playing! I will have a look into why the exploits just don't work in your case. Maybe it's an issue in my code or somewhere along the line, the functionality got severed. Another main issue is that the game is really unbalanced (really hard in the beginning but easy with just a bit of luck) so I'll most likely try and update that too. I would like to ask how the card aren't working in the pre-boss area in your case. Again thanks for playing and your helpful comments!
First off, thanks for playing! As for the issue you have, it could be a bug in my code (there is indeed a lot of that i need to fix) or it could be just the simple fact that you tried to select more than 3 cards. If its the first case, then I'll probably have to look through the mess of code for it, and if its the second case, I definitely have to make the tutorial more understandable and less text. Also, simplifying the deck rebuilding is a good idea I'll look carefully into! Again, thanks for the valid criticism!
Thank you so much for playing! Yes this game is sort of Balatro like (and actually pretty similar to yours now that I realize). As for the audio glitches, yeh, I never fully understood why it sounded like that (probably the game running the same audio file multiple times in a second). The other major issue that you pointed out which was play testing was also a big problem on my part, as I could have gotten a lot more of that, especially in a game where balancing is crucial for gameplay. Thank you for all the kind words, I truly appreciate them!
Really cool idea! The block placing and dropping mechanics lead to very interesting gameplay! However, I find the tutorial slightly confusing (even though I did eventually understand it) and maybe giving the blocks more representation would've bee a good idea instead of geometric shapes and colors. Nice game!
