CoolmathGames.com, the premier destination for fun and learning, is running the Coolmath Game Jam 2026! If you grew up playing Coolmath Games, here is your chance to get your game featured on our site!
At Coolmath, we believe games can do more than entertain. They can help players learn in meaningful, memorable ways. In this game jam, we're looking for games that allow players to understand something related to the game jam's theme. If that's up your alley, register now!
Once the jam begins, you'll have one month to make a game based on the jam theme. Submit your game for a chance to win a CASH prize (up to $10,000!) AND publish your game on coolmathgames.com!
Sit tight! The theme will be announced on May 4, 2026 at 12:00pm EST.
The winning games will be published on coolmathgames.com! Prizes are:
- 1st place: $10,000
- 2nd place: $5,000
- 3rd place: $5,000
Some winners may have the opportunity to further develop their game. More information to come when we announce the theme!
Games will be judged on the following:
- Theme - How closely did you stick to the theme?
- Originality - How unique is the game?
- Fun - How fun is the game?
- Learning impact - How educational is your game?
- Polish and Presentation - How complete and refined is the game? This includes graphics, audio, UI/UX and overall cohesiveness of the experience.
- Your game must be related to the theme
- Your game must be playable on a web browser
- Your game must be your original work, and can't be published anywhere else
- You can use assets not made by you so long as you have the proper license to use them and credit the source
- Games submitted cannot contain mature content such as violence, gore, NSFW, or offensive content
- Be friendly & respectful of others
- You can submit a game solo or on a team! If you choose to team up, you can only be on ONE team
- You can use any game engine to make your game
- Follow itch.io TOS
- No AI-generated content allowed
- For US-residents only
- Your game must be hosted on itch.io and cannot link to external downloads
- Submit your game before the deadline (June 5, 2026 at 11:59pm PST)
