Thank you very much for your kind offer and for explaining how the Chinese language option could be added to the game!
I’m truly grateful that you’re interested in helping with a Chinese localization. Before moving forward, I’d like to understand your offer and intentions a little better, so that we can avoid any misunderstandings later.
First, I should mention that this is a personal indie game distributed for free, with only optional donations. Unfortunately, I’m not able to provide payment for localization work. With that in mind, could you please answer the following questions?
1. Would you be offering this translation entirely as a voluntary, unpaid contribution?
2. May I ask what made you want to translate this particular game into Chinese? For example, did you enjoy the game yourself, or would you like to introduce it to Chinese-speaking players?
3. Would the translation be written entirely by you, or would it include machine translation or AI-assisted translation?
4. Are you planning to translate the game into Simplified Chinese?
5. Are you offering to translate the entire game, and have you already started working on the translation files?
6. If players later report mistranslations, display problems, or other issues, would you be willing to help with corrections and updates when possible?
7. Would you give TAC Works permission to include, edit if necessary, and distribute the translated files as an official language option within the game? Also, how would you like your name or translator credit to appear in the game?
Please don’t feel pressured to begin the full translation until we have discussed and agreed on these details.
I hope you don’t mind me asking so many questions. Since localization will become an official part of the game, I would like to handle your work carefully and respectfully.
Thank you again for your generous offer!
