1. The idea started from vibes. I wanted a duality in visuals and professions, with a similar tying theme. Before settling on botanical curator x mortician, I considered other things like a photographer x model story.
When I settled on the current professions, I made a moodboard on constrasting floral and BnW medical aesthetics.
I wanted an atypical yandere story with an LI and MC that felt as real as possible. I've always loved mysteries as well, so I settled for a death as the starting point in the story. I think it's fitting for the theme as well.
2. It took me around 2 months (Jan-Mar 2025) to make the first LD demo (+13k words iirc), with only a bust-up Chao sprite. It was Not Good yet LOL
I picked it up again on Dec 2025, and started intensive work on it for more than 2 months (Jan-Mar 2026). The result is the current full game for LD, with all its features.
I'm not a full-time dev, so my schedule and pace really depends on what I have going on in that time period.
3. I learnt from scratch LOL! The LD demo was my second visual novel, and it was VERY rough around the edges. Along the year, I learned by making another micro VN, and dedicated more time to learning about different things that can spice up my VN.
I'm not a pro at all, but I have a tips post on my Tumblr for people interested in writing VNs ^_^
