I grew up with too many LCD games and as a kid I remember wondering if LCD hardware limitations were actually stopping the games from being better. And there are some decent but rare ones. Though even better ones like Bomb Sweeper are kind of infuriating. Nintendo added a whole second screen but only used it for cutscenes? I occasionally get the urge to make a game that could have run on this hardware and was looking for a fancy emulator. As I understand it, this project isn't emulating so not exactly what I was looking for, but holy cow these are insanely good recreations. So just using this thread to say COOL PROJECT LOVE IT.

Thank you for your kind words about the project :) If you want to build a game based on actual hardware limitations you might want to look into something like Verilog, a hardware language used to describe, simulate, and synthesize digital circuits using text-based code. A full tutorial is available online about the language and tools to run the code. This project for example uses it to emulate the Sharp SM510 microprocessor chip used in most Game & Watch handhelds.
