The way I understand the new scoring concept for season 2 is...the old way was if you had three bumpers with number of 2, 5, and 10, you'd score 17, now you score 1 (for the 2), 2 (for the 5) and 3 (for the 10) giving you 6 (plus 1 more point for completing the set so the score is 7). Is this correct?
I am also confused as to sets. For example, with Escape the Vent, how are the sets divided?
- One way is the top right 3 bumpers are one set, the 4 formulas are one set each, the 3 ramps are one set each and the bottom left 2 bumpers are one set. This would give a total of 9 sets which sounds like way too many.
- Another possible way is, all bumpers no matter where they are, are one set, all rollovers are one set, all ramps are one set and all tunnels are one set (for a total of 4 sets). This would match the rule for Rollovers (Value must match all Rollovers in set) but would not match the rule for Ramps (Value must be higher than other Ramps in set). The Ramps rule implies each ramp is its own set.
