Unfortunately the import had an issue for the web version that we couldn't solve, and it was mainly implemented for people switching from web to standalone version, so in the end we removed it from web version and you can only export there.
Will the demo be released to Steam any time soon?
There is a Steam playtest which you can join from discord, but the demo will be released only in a few months
