This is extremely good for a first time submission, the only negative thing I can say is that it's a little unclear how things work during the work phase. I quickly got the hand of it though.
The gameplay loop is a brilliant mirror of what late stage capitalism feels like, down to being surprised by inflation xD
I do love the ending. I think it might hit even harder if you could see all the meaningless materialistic crap you bought at the same time as the conclusion, like maybe you could leave the game running and just have the sentence in overlay? I'm not sure it's a good idea, just thinking out loud.
