I'm not sure if I played older versions on this machine. All the feedback I gave on audiogames and itch was using another laptop, which is dead now. I purchased the game on Steam to see if anything changed, but the result is the same (no regrets because you're really cool and I'm grateful for your commitment to the screen reader implementation). I could try reinstalling Windows 10. My SAPI voices are broken and this could be causing issues with the game. Does this use SAPI by default? I remember it using NVDA before.
Thank you for the support and the kind words!! That really means a lot! I can upload a web version later that runs in the browser, that might work until we figure out why it's not launching.
The game uses NVDA when it's running and default to the OS speech synth if it doesn't. What GPU are you using? And maybe try running the game in Windows compatibility mode, like Windows 7 for example. Not sure, at this point I'm only guessing, unfortunately...
Compatibility mode does nothing. That's really strange, I played some Godot games before. The same issue happened with my older laptop when I tried to use Melon Loader for Unity access mods, which runs perfectly in the new one.
Thanks for all the support you're giving anyways, It's probably a Windows bug rather than actual game issue.
