If that's the case, then it's bugged. They're significantly slower, except the pluckers.
I misspoke, what I meant was that they harvest about 5% faster, as in, they hit slower but give you more resources and do more damage per hit.
But I 100% agree that they don't feel like they give you a power spike right now, so I will look into rebalancing the numbers.
If it's only 5%, you're going to end up with more overkill than actual value, yeah.
