Prestige is generally a form of meta-progression. It can be required, but that's different from the game pushing you to do it at a specific time or hard locking you out of further progress until you do.

Prestige is artificially forced? Seems I can't unlock new tech, as it's all gated behind a single prestige currency research. More than a little annoying, as I already have enough to unlock most of those upgrades without prestiging, if not for that arbitrary limitation. Don't require prestige elements in the main progression tree, please.

Died in sector nine and have no idea how to get back to a level that's actually viable for me to gather xp in.

Not very clear you need to double-click the 'map' button to get back to the actual map.

First attempt achieved a score of 469. Decently low, but I could absolutely go lower if I really tried.

Of course, what I was going for isn't exactly factored in...

Reminds me of Tactical Nexus.

Evolved in chapter 2 is pretty weak ngl.  You only start with 20 extra power, but miss out on a whole at least thirty seconds. And I'd still like to know what the worthless attributes like venom are intended to do besides deceive the player.

Sent all five to heaven and won. Okay. Great.

Acquired 4 free farms relic twice but this does not add up to 8.

Oh. Where'd all the levels go?

For the record, my GPU is a Radeon RX  6500 XT.

I'd understand crashing the game but like, crashing my desktop environment? Doesn't seem to be a memory leak as my RAM is stable up to the moment I crash. Wish I could give the error log, but that's sort of hard when it closes your browser.

How would I export save to play on desktop?

My preferred path, once demon time is available, is to head for mandrakes, save, and collect until I proc screaming. If I don't get any, refresh and try again. Even if you do it properly through alchemy, you're still rolling luck to get enough refined salts (on top of wasting a bunch of time and resources getting there); I instead opt not to bother.

Oh, that's what I did, and before I even posted the message with my score. I even fully reincarnated, but I did notice there was a strange disparity between the orange number on the leaderboards and the score presented at the centre of screen.

(1 edit)

I wonder if the score not appearing is related to bypassing the ending forced reincarnation, and it trying and failing to upload a second score for the same run.

Not sure about every node, but a good lot of them for sure. My camera position also seems to affect the consistency to some extent, but I'm not sure.

I mean it goes from 1/1 to 0/1 and fades out at some point I haven't determined. It does not prevent me from acquiring it again in future runs.

Decided to go do a bunch of other random things with my spare hunger and ended up with 126490 score. Which is interesting, as achieving the ending hardly gave anything.

Transcendance is mine.

(Yes, I have no life, and yes, if you refresh after transcending you earn the epithet without needing to reincarnate.)

When zoomed out very far, node collisions become offset slightly.

Why does unicorn un-unlock at some point? I can't re-acquire it.

Yeah, real annoying watching the hunger bar. Going to need more speed, insane capacity upgrades, or just QoL auto-consume/stop for sane people to achieve this. Still though, I'm not sane.

(1 edit)

Sounds like more than enough. Going to be annoying watching the hunger bar though.

Oh, I think transcendence should be reasonably possible now?

Guess it's time to grind. What's a prescient node?

Please ensure the original time remains visible somehow to ease calculations. It'd be a pain to subtract all my modifiers so I can start doing math.

Ngl a screaming mandrake for 5% crit chance was a little... bad.

To throw my hat into the ring, I'm also using Firefox with uBlock Origin, and my save persisted.

As it hasn't been mentioned somehow, is the janitor's closet a vague DDLC reference or entirely coincidental?

Could we have separate settings for game audio and music? And make them persistent when I return to the game later?

Btw, I calculated, and it's technically possible now to complete the enlightment node granted you savescum to double enough raw ingredients. In fact, you end up pretty close even if you don't. It's just that sleep detracts like a fifth of your time.

I, however, am not going to waste hours on hitting a 10% chance 50-100 times.

Life essence grind does not give stated amount but one life essence at a time. Shouldn't the tooltip be automated from the product rather than written manually?

(1 edit)

Hydrostatics exam gives 20 regardless. What changes is how much intelligence it provides.

I believe it would be more ideal if demon time did not decay while no action is occuring.

10x speed up sounds wonderful yes.

I guess raw ingredients are the hunger bottleneck now?

Could the game please clarify whether bonuses derived from separate sources (such as haste from terraforming, witch's brew, and calmness) stack additively or multiplicatively? It's a big difference.

Even if they calculated every single frame this really shouldn't impact performance unless the optimization is terrible. Maybe it's just a language thing, but I could perform the square root of 7727 a million times in just 4635428 nanoseconds (~1/216 of a second) with a Java loop. That's far more than needed and they should indeed only be updating it when there's an actual change.

Although speaking of optimization I wonder why there's a stutter when saving. Not that I mind considering it makes identifying when the game saves easier.

Game randomly freezes my PC sometimes, and triggers an auto-logout failsafe. Playing web, on Firefox. I hardly need to play more than an hour or two.

(1 edit)

It wouldn't even take a day if you're really determined. It really is just refreshing the page each time you don't get one, with the caveat it's still going to be hell.

Finding and reporting bugs isn't something to ashamed of; please do intentionally find bugs. Any dev whose games are worth playing will thank you.

Unless it's like an MMO - that's grey territory due to competitive advantage. Even then, absolutely still report those you stumble on.

Can you repeat the immortality bonus? Someone with no life could easily savescum a screaming mandrake 10 times (hours of refreshing the page, loam).
