I missed that part of your post. No, I suppose not. If your game page is a draft, nothing connected to it should be visible. That’s kind of the point.

I see. So in this case, should I rather go for game-less posts, or a mostly empty but published game profile to attach posts to? (I'm inclined towards the former as if someone wants to follow the updates, they can just go ahead and follow my profile, not like I'm working on several games at once right now)

Keep in mind that unattached blog posts can be moved to a game page later, but a page published without a playable game will remain unindexed until that’s rectified, and you’ll lose that little initial boost.
