I wrote some elements of the story here in a previous comment https://itch.io/post/16189601, didn't really plan on expanding the lore as it was only limited to scope of the jam, However though I am planning to make a finished updated version of the game post jam with some additional content, more areas to explore and a few bugfixes and balances (including the camera) ... Yes, the control scheme on controller needs some more tweaks, it would seem to be janky because you can't fire both weapons at once and its not as fluid as the mouse + keyboard combo.
